On September 4, 2023, the Salama Foundation undertook the distribution of 240 notebooks and other school supplies to 60 orphaned children in the Buyenzi Zone, specifically at 8th Avenue No. 44. Each child received four notebooks and additional school supplies.
This initiative reflects the longstanding commitment of the Salama Foundation to support underprivileged children, particularly those who have lost their parents or cannot afford education due to financial constraints. The distribution of these school materials is a significant step to ensure that even the most vulnerable members of our society have the opportunity to attend school.
"A child without education is a great loss, both for themselves and for the nation."

During the event, the legal representative of the Salama Foundation emphasized the importance of this action in his heartfelt speech. He stated, "Our goal is to continue assisting needy children so that even the weakest, those who have lost their parents or lack the means, can go to school. A child without education is a great loss, both for themselves and for the nation.”
The Salama Foundation aims to contribute to the education of vulnerable children in various communities in the city of Bujumbura. This action in the Buyenzi Zone is just one example of ongoing efforts to enrich the lives of children through education. We firmly believe that access to education not only improves the lives of individual children but also has a positive impact on society as a whole.
The Salama Foundation continues its mission to build a bridge to education for needy children and plans further initiatives to bring about positive changes in communities. We are deeply grateful for the support and the opportunity to transform the lives of these children through education.
