The Salama Foundation Has Joined Forces With the Umoja Islamic Imara Association to Combat Drug Abuse Among Young Teenagers.

They convened on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, to discuss the preparation of a workshop on drug awareness for young adolescents in the 2023-2024 academic year in the Buyenzi area.

The discussion centered on identifying effective tools to prevent the risks and consequences associated with drug consumption, as well as other substances such as non-prohibited beverages, among young individuals. The three associations reached a consensus to initiate an awareness and prevention campaign, primarily targeting underage children who have succumbed to drug abuse from an early age and now find themselves on the streets.

In conclusion, all participants in this meeting shared their ideas and contributions on how to proceed and implement the preparation of a workshop, scheduled to take place at the beginning of 2024.
